Non-Traditional Course Provided

Currently, these are some of the programs provided to medical and non-medical responders, lay rescuers, and everyday citizens.

Initial First Aid Course (IFAC)

The Initial First Aid Course is designed for non-medical personnel to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in self-aid and buddy-aid during emergency situations. The course focuses on immediate, life-saving interventions and personal safety considerations in austere or high-risk environments. This course is non-certifying and is intended to provide foundational awareness and practical capability rather than formal medical credentialing.

Initial Care in Remote Environments (ICARE)

Initial Care in Remote Environments (ICARE) is a non-certification program designed for individuals deploying to or working in remote or austere environments. The course provides a practical overview of common medical emergencies and basic procedures, enabling participants to recognize, manage, and provide self-aid or buddy-aid until higher-level care becomes available.

Stop the Bleed

Stop the Bleed® was developed as part of the Hartford Consensus and is designed for both civilians and responders. The course provides essential knowledge and practical skills to recognize and control life-threatening hemorrhage, improving survivability during mass casualty incidents such as active shooter events, terrorist attacks, or other traumatic emergencies.
