When responding to mass emergencies, the need for emergency protocols and the ability to initiate them and ensure everybody responding is crucial. If you agency does not have emergency protocols or you have not reviewed them in a while, it is imperative that you do. If there are none, talk with your leaders, and discuss the need for protocols when there is an emergency and to ensure the safety of all and responders are aware of what is to be accomplished.
